Focus: Reassert Reebok’s ownership of the 70s running space through a distinct design language

Outcome: A five model range with strong retailer demand and the brand’s top selling women’s shoe.

The 70s Running range began with the Classic AZ, a women’s-specific silhouette that reimagined archival design cues through a modern lens. The launch aligned with a broader market interest in retro running styles — but we aimed to carve a unique space through refined materials, sculpted lines, and a distinctly Reebok point of view.

The AZ was met with immediate enthusiasm from key retail partners, leading to additional models within the same design language. The range quickly grew into a core part of our women’s business, and eventually expanded into men’s — reinforcing its versatility and long-term relevance.

I led the design across all models in the range, ensuring they spoke to each other while serving distinct consumer needs. This included everything from silhouette creation to color and material stories. The success of the 70s Running range helped further diversify the Classics portfolio and build momentum beyond court-inspired product.
